Melbourne Central signages

Melbourne Central coles krispy kreme borders

Don't you think they look like round biscuits? This was taken at the beginning of spring while I was in my second year of study at University of Melbourne.

You can see this by walking along the La Trobe Street side of Melbourne Central Shopping Centre. What I like about Melbourne is you can get temperature that are just nice outdoors! So make sure you don't miss this spot in your travels.

Clara for GUESS in Nylon Magazine

Model and actress Clara Lee posed for GUESS lingerie #underwear for Nylon magazine.

The photos were originally posted around October (Allkpop, Koreaboo), featured again in December 2014. In the photos, you can see Clara showing off her curvaceous figure with a dreamy gaze. With the aid of sunlight passing through the blinds, Clara delivered a pure and subtly sexy look.

Anyone can say she has a sexy body. Tell me, what else do you see?

That's all for Clara's lingerie shoot. If you want to view more, you have to purchase the November 2014 issue of Nylon Magazine.

[UPDATE] I've discovered additional photos from AppleDaily and can't wait to share them with you for your viewing pleasure.

If you're curious about her cup size, it's a big D.

She gained popularity in Emergency Couple drama

Looks sexy even when depressed...

Her gaze and glamourous figure is my weakness

Is she too sexy to handle? I guess so.

Dubai Miracle Garden

Just like any typical day of browsing my Facebook feed, I stopped to behold the wonderful beauty of a sea of flowers. These was not taken in tropical or temperate countries as you might expect but in Dubai, somewhere in the arid Middle East.

This place is called Dubai Miracle Garden. It's located in Dubailand near the Arabian Ranches and contain over 45 million flowers on an area of 72,000 square metre. The project has been possible in this desert through wise reuse of waste water combined with drip irrigation. The company that comes up with this must be genius.

The Miracle Garden is now opened to the public although there're still plans for retail outlets, restaurants and shops. The place is opened from 10 am to 10 pm on weekdays and 10 am to midnight on weekends.

The vast, colourful sea of flowers is just breathtaking!

Garmin's gorgeous girl

This is my last installment of PC Fair eye candy for you! I visited Garmin's booth, where you could find GPS and driving recorder to be used on the road and water. It's an established American company in the world of navigation. Guess what? Garmin has the most comprehensive map around.

Are you here for Garmin's showgirl? Here you are!

You should immediately notice her milky white skin. Her outfit is called a tube top and
short jeans.

Not forgetting she looks very cute! She can be considered one of the best showgirl around the event.

Garmin has a gift for me! Woohoo!

This is the end of my PC Fair series. See you next time!

Logitech's Dota2 challenge and Powershell

Many would have assumed that goods sold at PC Fair or other shows come at a discounted price, however such an assumption can turn out to be false at times. It's advisable to check with the shop before buying, especially if the product cost a lot. Try calling up the exhibitors' home base (the shop where the exhibitor normally do business) by phone to check on the price. Let's say Canon is exhibiting at PC Fair and you wanna buy a printer priced RM 1000 and above, make sure you ring up Canon's concept store in Low Yat Plaza to ask about the price.

Years ago, I did the same and decided not to buy at PC Fair due to the fact that the same product was sold at a lower price in Low Yat Plaza, by the same shop.

Logitech is no stranger to me. The brand is known for its keyboards, mouse and other computer accessories. Recently the brand decided to venture into gamers' market.

I stopped by Logitech's booth for a visit, and the booth was having a 1 versus 1 Dota2 challenge. Visitors were able to challenge a player in a duel to bring home a Logitech mouse pad, should they win the game.

As this player was completely immersed in her game, I watched her fingers pressing on the keys with impeccable dexterity. Pressing the keys activates many functions like using an item or unleashing a skill of her game character.

The Logitech Powershell was a product to behold. The Powershell was designed to worked with iPhone 5 series and turn the phone into a game console familiar to mobile gamers.

I am showing all of you one more showgirl who worked for Garmin tomorrow, and that shall conclude my PC Fair posts.

GoPro showgirls

Since its inception, PC Fair grows from merely a consumer fair for sale of computers to a technology showcase to the delight of tech enthusiasts. It's not hard to check out what's in store for you, as well as what's upcoming in the market.

As with any exhibitions, PC Fair is very big, featuring lots of exhibitors and takes up large halls. A useful tip to navigate exhibitions is to do a quick walkthrough from the entrance to the exit during your first round to get a rough idea of the exhibition layout and who the exhibitors are. After doing a quick round, you can decide which booth you want to visit. Exit and re-enter the exhibition and then only start checking out the exhibitors & exhibits in detail.

In consumer fairs, age of visitors is never an issue. But if you're attending a trade show, rules such as minimum age, dress code and sometimes types of visitors (general public or business only) will apply.

GoPro cameras are meant for extreme sports. Have you seen videos in first person view doing extreme sports? They're probably shot with GoPro cameras.

GoPro cameras are compact and light to serve their purpose. They can be mounted on helmets, harness and even surfboards for a wide variety of activities including biking, climbing, surfing, flying, skating, etc.

One side of the showgirls' outfit. And I'm showing them in their entirety.

The other side of the showgirls' outfit. I noticed even their shoes were identical!

This is GoPro's current model in the market, the Hero3+, mounted on a selfie monopod.

The trigger unit.

That's how you use a GoPro camera to take a selca/selfie!

You can visit GoPro's official website at http://www.gopro.com/ to find out more about their products. More PC Fair 2014 showgirls to come!

PC Fair Monkey King showgirl & Mascots

I was excited to check out PC Fair back in home, for I didn't get to enjoy consumer fairs overseas. On and off, there'll be consumer fairs to keep us entertained, a unique culture that's truly Malaysian.

There was another showgirl at the Razer booth!

Huge teddy bear! I wanna hug him. Let's say hi to him.

Epson was selling bottled, refillable inks. Believe it or not, they're Epson's original accessories. And these bottled inks are economical.

Hey yellow!

Next I visited Monkey King 大闹天宫 booth. It's a browser based MMORPG accessible from Facebook.

The showgirl was one of my favourite.

What I like about her was her good smile. I hope to see her again next time!

Cosplayers dressed up as characters of Monkey King - can you name them?

I was using a point-and-shoot camera for the photos. I think I am hitting upon the limitation of my equipment, maybe I should think of an upgrade soon!

Razer showgirl at PC Fair 2014

I had a chance to check out Razer products at PC Fair @ KLCC! I have heard of this brand a lot, especially among the gaming community. Indeed their equipment is specialized for the purpose of gaming! What's driving them? The brand goes by the tagline By Gamers, For Gamers.

I had a rare opportunity to get my hands on Razer products. Why I had to wait until PC Fair? I had worked in an IT hyperstore as a sales personnel, and I haven't got the chance to try them all my life! The only assurance is, Razer will not disappoint you with its big name.

Since I got this golden opportunity then I must try them, right?

Oh let me tell you how the name Razer come about. Whenever you speak of the name, it sounds like 'razor'. Razor is simply, a blade used to remove body hair, and they must be sharp. Its Chinese name is 雷蛇, which translates to "lightning snake". Have you noticed that its logo is made up of three snakes? There you go.

At a table of Razer booth are colourful headphones! These colourful stuff lack microphones. I was sooo starstruck.

They are Razer Kraken Neon that comes in four colours. Just basically Razer Kraken that comes in assorted colours. Used for gaming, and the bass is thumpy.

I got a chance to pick up Razer Adaro headphone that hit the shelves not long ago! Unlike the Kraken headphones, Adaro is designed to be a lifestyle product. It has a mellow bass.

Can you see the three snakes arranged in a triskelion?

Let's be pretty with a Razer headphone :)

Looks like she's happy with the headphone! Besides that, I tried Razer Hammerhead earphones. The earphones are superb and sports mellow bass.

Stay tuned for more showgirls from PC Fair! See you again.

Lenovo girls at PC Fair

During consumer fairs I can always see these girls with revealing dress! These people are called showgirls. What do you think they do?

Their job is to distribute flyers to you, right? I can hire anybody to do that, but nobody will remember my brand. But I know many have an eye for pretty girls and will stop by to have a look. Now everybody remembers my brand even though they didn't buy anything from me! Isn't this a good move?

But when you ask showgirls about product information, in most cases they won't know!

Wong Zun Zen 黄俊倩's fanclub launch

On the 30th of November last year, I attended Wong Zun Zen's fanclub inauguration ceremony. She just debuted as a singer/solo artist under Easternworld Music 环东音乐.

It was held at Neway Karaoke inside Berjaya Times Square.

We were given a large room for the fan meet. Thanks Neway for sponsoring the venue!

She's none other than Zun Zen! I miss her after not seeing her for years. I can tell that she has undergone training under her agency that she's hardly an ordinary person anymore....

She's popularly known as the Unexpected Rookie Singer in the industry. When she was born, she was diagnosed with a weak heart that doctors were negative about her chances of survival. But she beat through the odds and debuted as a singer today!

Fans were treated to lunch and desserts, then continued on the fanmeet activities for some time.

Have you listened to Zun Zen's debut single "了解我 Understand Me"?

Tech Kaijiu Arena: Ninetology U9X1 vs Samsung Galaxy Mega Review

Good day readers, how are you? I'm glad to share two nice phones in the market, thanks to Ninetology Malaysia. This review is part of Tech Kaijiu Arena, Ninetology's Bloggers' Review Program :)

Before I dwell on my review, I have a message to share about Responsible Blogging. Being responsible means being accountable to all things we've done, and that includes everything we share on the Internet. Have you done your research before you post about anything? If you've taken the extra mile to ensure all information is correct, you're doing everybody a favour! Together we can make the Internet a better place.

Ninetology U9X1 i9480

I'm so excited to head towards Singapore! Aside from visiting the city, I'm stopping by at two of the nation's flagship universities: National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University for an appointment with professors. They're offering worthy postgraduate research projects worthy of consideration. Since it's hard to communicate by email, the professors ask me to drop by in Singapore to meet them at their respective labs!

I have sorted out my ticket, but what's missing?

While a transit ticket is enough for me to land in Singapore, I'll still need a few more things to get around the city-state smoothly and comfortably. Three essential items to get around Singapore are:

Singapore dollars
Singapore dollars.

SingTel 3G SIM card
A prepaid 3G SIM card, either SingTel or StarHub will do.

ezLink
Ezlink smart card. You'll need this to pay for bus and MRT fares without having to wait in long queues.

Why can't I just keep my Malaysian SIM card and set my phone on roaming while I'm in Singapore? It can be one of the most unwise choice to make. Let me tell you why.

Although it's true that I can have my phone set to roaming in Singapore, it's actually not economical. While roaming overseas, you are charged exorbitantly for calls you made and receive on your phone. In my case my prepaid credit will dry up by just talking on my phone for a few minutes. For postpaid users it's a nightmare when the bill arrives.

If you use 3G data, I advise you to be careful of the data roaming feature in your smartphone. There're news report of users getting astronomical bills just by checking on Facebook or reading a few emails while overseas; getting a bill shock back home is the last thing anybody wants.

Before setting off overseas, make sure you disable data roaming in your smartphone. After you've obtained immigration clearance, buy a local SIM card and insert it into your phone. In this way, you won't accidentally burn up your wallet :)

If your phone is using micro-SIM, I strongly advise you to keep the remaining plastic just in case you need it.

As a very much Malaysian at heart having activities in Singapore, a dual SIM phone comes in handy. Whenever I cross the border, it saves me the trouble of changing SIM cards.

Ninetology U9X1
Thanks to Ninetology, I had a chance to experience a dual SIM device. This is how you insert SIM cards into the phone:

The first SIM card, inserted into the bottom slot, designated as Slot 1.

The second SIM card goes into Slot 2.

After powering on your phone, simply follow the instruction booklet that comes with your SIM to sign up for a 3G data plan. Now I can Tweet, Facebook, browse web pages, check-in Foursquare and view Google Maps when I'm lost, without worrying about cut throat data charges!

What is the most important feature of a dual SIM phone? I may sound a bit cheong hei, but I'm here to fulfil your curiosity before getting one! You can switch ON/OFF SIM card, turn on 3G data (separately for each SIM), turn ON/OFF roaming (separately), turn ON/OFF data roaming (separately) and setting the default SIM card for outgoing calls/SMS/video calls. All of these can be accessed from Settings > SIM management.

As far as the battery for U9X1 is concerned, it is equipped with a 2200 mAh Li-ion battery. mAh stands for miliAmpere-hour, a unit used for measuring electrical charges, it's SI derived unit being Ampere-second (Coulomb). Since 1 mAh equals 3.6 Coulomb, that equals to 2200*3.6 = 7920 Coulombs of electrical charges (when the battery is fully charged).

When it comes to multilinguality, Ninetology U9X1 supports display in Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Indonesia, English, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese. Typing in English and Malay is supported in its native Android keyboard whereas Chinese typing is supported through a built-in Google Pinyin.

The Ninetology U9X1 enabled me to keep in touch with friends in Singapore without paying through my nose. It came in handy when a professor called me to give me directions to his lab & university (I'm so touched!).

In conclusion, if you're looking for a usable touchscreen, dual SIM smartphone without a hefty price tag (RM 1099), then the quad-core Ninetology U9X1 is for you. In terms of craftmanship, Ninetology still has a great room for improvement.

Samsung Galaxy Mega GT-i9205

Son Naeun says come in!
Would you please come in?

Presenting you... the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3"! It's so wonderfully made...

In my eyes...

Naeun Namjoo A Pink
It's the best thing in the world!

Na Eun calls
Just call up and order the phone already!

What a cuteness overdose! The photos above are A Pink's U You music video screencaps, all taken with Samsung Galaxy Mega!. Now let's go to the important stuff.

This version of Galaxy Mega I received comes with support for 4G LTE. When you buy a Samsung Galaxy Mega, make sure you state your preference for 4G or non-4G models. There are four versions of Galaxy Mega in the market: GT-19150, GT-i9152, GT-i9200 and GT-i9205 but only GT-i9205 comes with 4G.

I currently own a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300, that makes Samsung Galaxy Mega is essentially its big brother. But its bigger screen makes it a phablet.

Battery
The Galaxy Mega has more juice: 3200 mAh on a full charge. That's 11,520 Coulombs.

This phablet accepts a single micro-SIM.

Having a larger screen size, typing on the Galaxy Mega is much more comfortable. There is no need to switch keyboard layout whenever I need to type a number, as the number keys lie on top of the QWERTY keyboard.

Rotation of home screen is possible with the Screen Rotation feature turned ON, a cool feature I've noticed. This saves the hassle of turning the screen up whenever I finished using an app in landscape mode.

It's high quality speaker, big screen and ability to support High Definition coupled with landscape mode creates an unparalleled experience on viewing Youtube.

This device supports display in major languages of the world. When Chinese and Bahasa Malaysia are concerned, their input is supported via the native Android keyboard (without needing Google keyboards). All of these can be changed in Settings > Language and Inputs.

For satellite navigation, the phone specification lists GPS and GLONASS. I'm sure veryone is familiar with GPS. If you're wondering, GLONASS is just like GPS, operated by Russia. To date, both systems have full global coverage. You can also say that the phone makes use of both US and Russian satellites to determine its position on Earth. For driving navigation, you can make use of Waze or Google Maps, available from Google Play store. Not forgetting that its loud speaker makes navigation easy too!

Despite its sheer size, the Samsung Galaxy Mega is light and fits nicely into my palm.

Samsung Galaxy Mega is for you if you value craftmanship and solid tactile experience, provided that you're willing to afford its RM 1900 price tag.
