Wong Zun Zen 黄俊倩's fanclub launch

On the 30th of November last year, I attended Wong Zun Zen's fanclub inauguration ceremony. She just debuted as a singer/solo artist under Easternworld Music 环东音乐.


It was held at Neway Karaoke inside Berjaya Times Square.


We were given a large room for the fan meet. Thanks Neway for sponsoring the venue!


She's none other than Zun Zen! I miss her after not seeing her for years. I can tell that she has undergone training under her agency that she's hardly an ordinary person anymore....

She's popularly known as the Unexpected Rookie Singer in the industry. When she was born, she was diagnosed with a weak heart that doctors were negative about her chances of survival. But she beat through the odds and debuted as a singer today!




Fans were treated to lunch and desserts, then continued on the fanmeet activities for some time.

I'm yet to be in a relationship, but I'll always be excited when my romance enters the next level!

The girlfriend is saying that she's taking the relationship to the next level, but I don't get exactly what she wanted to say. For the sake of mystery, she kept it until Valentine's Day. But it's always not bad to prepare for anything that might come my way, right or not?

But, when it comes to a real relationship for me, I can draw from an experience a few years ago (before I entered university) to face a situation like this! I actually stopped by in a girl's house (she's not my girlfriend!) prior to attending an event, and ate with her family. So I asked myself in my heart, what if I go to meet my real girlfriend's family? I guess I won't be that nervous when I'm presented with the real deal.

Happy Birthday to A Pink's Son Naeun #2Our1Naeun

My bias Son Na Eun 손나은 is celebrating her 21st birthday today!



She's the most visually appealing member of the group, and hence takes up the position of visual of A Pink. She's also holding the position of lead dancer who's important for "leading" dance moves in the chorus part of songs.

Na Eun has also called herself the "centre" of A Pink. Amazingly, the title fits her so well for a few thigns! She is the tallest and having the median age among her members. Won't go wrong if you place her in the centre if you want to take group photos of A Pink right? And since she's also the visual, she's also the visual centre.

Fans had been calling her Son Yeoshin (literally, Son Goddess) for her unmatched beauty.

She's the spokesmodel for Peripera, a South Korean cosmetic brand.



And got featured in pictorials for a few magazines!

She's constantly improving! Although being the visual, she's becoming more and more listenable in her singing. I had a big eye opener when she sang the bridge for her latest comeback song NoNoNo.

She's also an actress! She made her acting debut in The Great Seer but I didn't watch it. After I finished my Honours year, I watched Childless Comfort for her, even though she didn't have much screen time. But after I got back to Malaysia, I can't really watch the full drama but decided to watch cuts of her instead.

Deteriorating quality of education in Malaysia

Are we making a fool of ourselves with straight A's and Distinctions in public examinations and yet the system itself is questioned? Bad education not only affects our kids but also put the future of the country in jeopardy. The era of globalisation is raising the bar for the future generation, but given that our education is so appalling that it failed to meet expected learning outcomes, I don't think our education is capable of answering the questions posed tomorrow. Heck, we can't even answer the question on which medium of instruction for Mathematics and Science properly.

The rich can afford to send their kids to tuition centres or private schools but what about poor peasants in rural areas? They'll be the biggest losers under the system!

Education should prepare us to answer questions that are yet to be posed.

Although the video below was part of DAP's campaign message during General Election 2013, its message is still relevant as of today.

NoNoNo for a festive season

It's the festive season! My favourite girl group A Pink did some special version of their 2013 hit song NoNoNo. And I found myself coming back again and again to these videos. Love them to bits!

It has been a while since these videos were uploaded, but they're always fresh to my ears.
